Sound familiar?

Budgets are easy to set and hard to keep.

A spreadsheet works for a month or two, until keeping it up to date becomes the job.

Without a current picture, you find out you've gone over once the month is already done.

  • Updating it by handEvery purchase copied in, every category chosen yourself.
  • Finding out too lateYou learn you overspent after the month is over.
  • One number for everythingA single budget doesn't show which part is running over.
How Busybee helps

How does Busybee help you stick to it?

Your spending is sorted into categories as it arrives, so every budget stays up to date.

A budget per category

Set a monthly amount on a category group or its subcategories, and see what's left as the month goes.

The month against your budget

What you've spent so far against your total budget, and how it compares with last month.

Questions

Common questions

Do I have to budget every category?

No. Set a budget only on the categories you want to watch. The rest are still counted.

Do I have to enter my spending?

No. Spending comes in from your bank and is sorted into categories for you. If one's wrong, change it once and later transactions with the same description follow.

Can I budget for groceries separately from eating out?

Yes. A category group like Food and drink can have one budget, or a budget for each of its subcategories, such as groceries and dining and takeaway.

What if I go over?

The category shows as over budget. With rollover on, the overspend comes off next month's budget; with it off, each month starts fresh.
